The weekend weather forecast is too nice to spend too much time at your computer, but if you have a few spare moments take a look at the climate wizard.
The wizard is a new online tool, developed in part by the University of Washington, that allows you to play around with a few weather parameters and get a sense of how climate change may impact any part of the world. The U.W. has a first-rate atmospheric sciences program, and works in both forecast models (the image to the right depicts our 80 degree weekend) as well as exploring longer-term climate trends.
For sure, this will intrigue those concerned about climate change, and irritate those who dismiss it. And, if you are in the camp that rejects global warming, can I interest you in a rebate on better insulation or a more efficient furnace?
